Brand Redesign

As the third-oldest college in California, Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) carries a rich legacy rooted in tradition, yet it continues to evolve as a forward-thinking institution. The challenge? To modernize the brand while honoring its heritage, creating a cohesive visual identity that feels both fresh and timeless.

Working within NDNU’s existing color palette and logo, I developed a refined approach to their brand application—balancing tradition with contemporary design. Inspired by stained glass patterns and motifs, the new visual direction incorporates subtle nods to history while embracing a modern-minimalist aesthetic. The result is a brand that reflects NDNU’s academic excellence, community impact, and dedication to preparing students for the future.

This redesign extended across social media, stationery, and web design, creating a consistent and engaging presence that strengthens NDNU’s brand recognition and resonates with both current and prospective students.
